Land of Enchantment Book Award 2017–2018

The Land of Enchantment Book Award is designed to encourage the youth of New Mexico to read outstanding books of literary quality. A committee sponsored by the New Mexico Library Association, and the New Mexico Council of the International Reading Association selects the book lists. In April, New Mexico youth who have read at least three books from one of these lists vote on their favorite.
There are four reading lists:
  • Roadrunner Reading List for grades K–3
  • Coyote Reading List for grades 3–5
  • Lizard Reading List for grades 6–8
  • Black Bear Reading List for grades 9–12
