Love and War: A Review of YA Titles

American journalist and cultural critic H.L. Mencken once said, ”Love is like war: easy to begin but very hard to stop.” How right he was. Perhaps Mencken should have included books in his quote, as we can all attest to the difficulty of stopping ourselves from collecting just one more title.

Grab a comfy seat and listen in as teen librarian and vlogger Stephanie Galvan Russell and Junior Library Guild’s own Kayleigh Hanlin discuss newly released titles that dig deep into love, loss, and the impact they have on our lives. Plus, Stephanie will share her tips and tricks on creating teen programs in the library. You’ll find perfect titles for both advanced and reluctant readers, along with learning how to increase and improve the programs you offer.

Appropriate for grades 9–12 public and school librarians.
