“Eleanor Roosevelt Bulletin Board”

“Eleanor Roosevelt Bulletin Board”

Eleanor Roosevelt was once a member of JLG’s editorial board. At some point, having found a photo in our files, we dubbed the conference area in our last office the “Eleanor Roosevelt Room.” In 2010, when School Library Journal and Library Journal became part of our parent company, Media Source Inc., we joined them in the new offices. We’re located in an interesting part of the city, and the SLJ/LJ folks are great neighbors on the floor, but our open-plan work space is definitely smaller. We now take meetings in the shared-by-all conference rooms near the kitchen. And Eleanor Roosevelt’s photo hangs on a bulletin board in the JLG office, a multi-purpose room no longer her own.
