Bartleby of the Big Bad Bayou

Former pets Bartleby, a red-eared turtle, and Seezer, his alligator friend, have traveled all the way from New York to their true home in the bayou country of the Mighty Mississippi. When they arrive, they find it anything but welcoming. A greedy giant alligator bullies the other creatures out of any available food, Seezer’s family has dispersed, and Bartleby is instantly christened "lunch" by the first gator they meet.
