Eyes of the Emperor

Sixteen-year-old Eddie Okubo lies about his age to join the United States Army in his hoemtown of Honolulu. After the Japanese bomb Peal Harbor, the loyalty of all Japanese-American soldiers is questioned, and they are given only menial jobs. Then Eddie and twenty-four others are sent to a remote island on a secret mission to train attack dogs to sniff out the enemy. Their job? To act as the bait.
