Littlest is a very young dream-giver, so young that she is still transparent. Every night her mentor, Thin Elderly, shows her how to gently touch objects and gather fragments of stories to bestow upon sleeping humans. Restful dreams are sorely needed in the household where Littlest and Thin Elderly work-a boy is troubled by memories of abuse even as a loving old woman tries to give him a better life.
