Greedy Apostrophe: A Cautionary Tale

The punctuation marks gather in Hiring Hall to get their assignments. "Will they be good ones?" the question marks ask. "Of course they will!" answer the exclamation points. Then, with a bang, in walks Greedy Apostrophe! He refuses to take the punctuation oath to "help make meanings clear," ignores the director's explanation about possession, then grabs his assignment and runs out of the hall. Soon he's inserting himself where he doesn't belong: Signs about pencils, erasers, and rulers erroneously become "pencil's, eraser's, and ruler's." Who will stop him? Full-color artwork.
