Pigeon: City Safari

Though some pigeons live near cliffs and mountains, many thrive in towns and cities. This volume describes how these birds find food and shelter in urban environments. For example, one page that shows a photo of a pigeon drinking from a fountain explains, “Backyards and parks are good places to find a drink. Pigeons use their beaks like straws to suck up water.” Each titled spread covers a different topic, such as “What Dangers Do Pigeons Face?” and “How Can I Spot a Baby Pigeon?” Striking photographs accompany the text on every page.
