Sisters of Scituate Light

Rebecca and Abby Bates grew up helping their father care for the Scituate lighthouse, located on the rocky shoreline south of Boston. One September night during the War of 1812, Rebecca and Abby are tending the lighthouse while their family is away. They see a British warship lowering barges and sailors heading toward shore to attack. "We cannot stand idly by," says Rebecca, but what chance do they have against trained soldiers?
