The Beastly Arms

Nickel lives in the city with his mother and his pet kangaroo rat, Miriam, whom he carries everywhere in his shirt pocket. They are forced to move when the landlord raises their rent. The caretaker of a downtown building offers them a huge apartment for a suspiciously low rate. Despite the faint animal smell and the odd noises, they accept. Gradually, Nickel discovers the caretaker’s true intentions.
