Those Darn Squirrels!

Old Man Fookwire is a grump. "He hated pie. He hated puppies. The only thing he liked was birds." In particular, he likes painting birds. But every winter, the birds fly south and leave Old Man Fookwire feeling lonesome. This year, though, he has a plan: he'll put out "beautiful birdfeeders" and fill them with "delicious seeds and berries," and maybe the birds will stick around. The birds, however, aren't the only ones who notice the new snacks in Fookwire's yard, and the old man soon finds himself in a battle of wits with a band of crafty squirrels.
