What’s Up, What’s Down?

This book is meant to be truned and read vertically. Pretend you are a mole. Look up. What do you see? "Loose, rich soil sewn together with thread-fine roots." Above the roots there is grass, a toad, and a sea of wildflowers. With arrows in the full-color pictures to guide the way, the journey continues up through the sky to the moon. At that point, the reader turns the book upside down and heads back toward the "rocky crust at the bottom of the world."
